I've lost my iPod. And I am 99% sure that it's somewhere in the house.

I used it last night.

I have retraced my steps, emptied wastecans, tipped out handbag and briefcase. I couldn't find it when I hunted for it after I left the house, so somewhere between my house and my car, it went *poof*.

Most Outlandish Please Don't Let It Be True scenario--it fell out of my briefcase onto the sidewalk as I walked to the car, and I didn't hear the clatter, and King got hold of it and buried it.

I did a recon of the yard, looking for a trail of earbud cable/cord/whatever

I do not have a garbage disposal or a dishwasher.

I checked the pockets of coats I haven't worn in weeks, looked in bathroom drawers. Maybe I should check the toilet tank.

I've done this before, with my bank card. I would much rather lose an iPod than a bank card if I have to lose something. But I would rather not have lost the blasted thing at all.

ETA: HAH! Thought it could hide from me. Waaaaaaaaaaay under the front seat of the car.

I forgot to say that I was really glad to read that you'd found it. I can just imagine the time it takes to load one up, not to mention the cost of replacement.

The cost, yeah. I would likely have put it off, or made do with a Shuffle for a while. But of course, all my gear/attachments are made for a Video iPod.

And I had just applied the Tropical Island skin, with a palm tree and a parrot.
