The morning of

Cloudy and a little damp, but all the precip is apparently south of us, so we should stay dry. I prefer this, given that it's in the 40s. Christmas is for snow, not rain.

Coffee made and gratefully drunk...drank...consumed, how's that? Gifts opened--I got clothes, shirts and sweaters and ear muffs and a new barn coat. Not that I'll be getting rid of the old barn coat anytime soon, but it's been through 5 years of King and it looks it. If I wore it in public, people would hand me money...maybe I should...never mind.

Dinner will be pork roast with dressing, mashed potatoes, green salad, and the last of the cranberry relish I made last month. Dessert may be eclairs, or picking from the Lindt chocolate basket that proved a very popular gift. Tried a new cookie, and it is good--a basic tea cookie with roasted sesame seeds. You might not think that would work, but it did, and quite well, too.

Merry Christmas to them as celebrates!

I awoke to whiteness here - fog, not snow. It just feels so wrong.

Part of my plan for today is watching movies. Just finished White Christmas and later will be P's gift - Pirates of the Caribbean 2. :-)

I'm still working on the coffee. Dinner will be cornish hen, potatoes and carrots. I'm not sure about dessert yet.

Happy holidays to you!

Merry, Merry! :-) My Christmas is on Wednesday (that's when my family's get-together is).

Congrats on the new barn coat. Now you've got a dog coat *and* one you can wear in company.

Though your idea of wearing the dog coat out might not be a bad idea. All depends on what your finances look like at the moment. :-)
