Ode to the Honey Locust
Nov. 5th, 2006 04:55 pmHoney locust in autumn
Leaves like gold coins
Slip between my rake prongs
Too small for the leaf blower
Hide between the leaves of grass
Fucking things are everywhere
Die, honey locust!
Lightning strike!
Infestation!
Whatever!
Die! Die! Die!
Leaves like gold coins
Slip between my rake prongs
Too small for the leaf blower
Hide between the leaves of grass
Fucking things are everywhere
Die, honey locust!
Lightning strike!
Infestation!
Whatever!
Die! Die! Die!

Date: 2006-11-06 01:25 am (UTC)I view leaves as just one more step in grass evolution. If the grass can't handle a few leaves it deserves to die and let another species take its place. Something like...um... flagstones.
