I usually say 'soda pop,' which used to drive my Florida-born friends up the wall because they referred to anything carbonated as "Coke" whether it was Coca-Cola or not.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

The Midland
The Northeast

I got The Midland, too. Followed, in order, by The South, Philadelphia, The Inland North, The Northeast , The West, Boston, North Central. Since I was born & primarily raised in MIssiouri, I guess the Midland works. Even if I always thought it was the Midwest. *g*

I, on the other hand, am a Texan. :-) But I live in Houston, as we're about as cosmopolitan as you can get. :-) I can turn on the "Bubba Voice", but it's not my normal way of speaking.

Well, unless ah'm tryin' t'mess with yor head, acourse. :-)

Well, I suppose mine is correct, since I have lived all over the western US--Washington, Idaho, Oregon, California, Montana, etc...)
