Acting question--is there a term for a point on which an actor focuses during a performance (when they're not looking at another actor). Is there even such a term, or am I inventing memories again?

I stage managed several productions in high school and college (but nothing since). I'm not familiar with a specific word, but Sartorias's suggestion would certainly work.

I have heard many directors say, "Your focus is on X in this scene" or similar things to capture the idea you're getting at. Also, many directors have pet terms for directorial ideas, so you can create your own answer and apply it consistently throughout...
