So I'm working on the book, glass of red wine at my side. Been nursing the glass for a couple of hours. Got up every so often and did other things. Not really paying attention.

Finally drained the dregs. Oh look, sediment. Boy, pretty intact lump of sediment. *closer inspection* Oh.

I will say that Essence of Fly didn't seem to add anything to the cabernet-shiraz. Nothing detectable, at any rate. And alcohol is an antiseptic of sorts.

Well, they put worms in tequila, don't they?

ETA: It sounds as though I should add that I didn't actually swallow the fly. Just came pretty darned close.

There was the soakage aspect.

LOL - there's an urban legend about sailors draining the most exquisite liqueur from a cask that they're transporting, only to discover that the cask contained the bodily remains of someone, preserved in rum. Perhaps there's a story rooted here somehow... :-)
