Received a check for the antho story yesterday. Deposited same.

Filled King's wading pool yesterday, and let him have some fun. My, but that dog loves water.

Was able to run/jog a shade over two miles yesterday with the new shoes, which I am happy to say have eliminated the burning sensation in my heels.

The Slavic fatalist in me is starting to worry. There is bound to be some Not Good out there somewhere that will counteract all this.

I can never relax.

Alas, I didn't save it. It contained references to my liking of ghosties and ghoulies and long-legged beasties and things that go bump in the night, as well as the fact that the beasties that Jani Kilian battles are of the two-legged variety. Nothing profound, but the sort of tone that could, imho, grate if read when in the wrong mood.
