Battery time
Jul. 1st, 2006 03:52 pmWell, the iBook battery, which is a little over two years old, had let me know that it's on its last legs. For that last couple of months, it has suddenly dumped all charge during the last part of the rundown. First it did it when the charge thingie indicated that I had 30+ minutes of power left. This time, I supposedly had over an hour of working time left. Next thing I knew, the iBook had fallen asleep and would not wake up. Plugged in the A/C, and saw that the battery had drained to nothing.
So, I ordered a new battery. I usually use the A/C, but I do take the iBook to work, and when I reach the point where I can't trust the battery, that's bad.
Batteries. The Achilles heel of any laptop.
