I’ve hinted for a while that I would have news to report and well, here it is. CODE OF CONDUCT will be reissued on December 1 through the good offices of Book View Cafe! It will be released in both ebook and POD formats, via the usual outlets. Further details as the day draws near–the production wheels are still turning.

The cover was designed by Dave Smeds, and I am so, so happy with it.

I’m also working on a new Jani novella, but that likely won’t be released until the first part of 2016. I can say that it takes place after the events in ENDGAME, and some of the usual suspects–Niall Pierce, Lucien Pascal, Hiroshi Mako–will make appearances. Check back for the occasional snippet.

Yup. In fact, Niall plays a major role in this tale.

Thanks! I'm so happy that Jani looks the way I wrote her. Her father's of Irish descent, her mother, South Asian (specifically, India). A long search through image banks to find a model with the right look. Then Dave worked his Photoshop magic.

That's awesome that you were able to pick the model.

More like we lucked out and found the right photos. We hunted through dreamstime, depositphoto, and other image sites. Hunted for 'future woman,' etc. Many of her shots just won't work because she's standing/lying at model angles and the photographer tried for 'sexy' instead of straightforward future woman. But she had the right hair color and her skin tone could be adjusted readily. And some of the images are/will be combos of several, with Dave working PS magic to combine them.

It's amazing what you can do, but there are limitations. Which means if you ever want a cover with some definitive elements that you won't find anywhere else, you will likely need to hire a painter to actually create the cover in its entirety.

This has been a learning process for me.
