I'm taking Mickey to the vet on Saturday for his repeat bloodwork. Here's hoping those liver enzymes are back down to normal levels.

If it turns out to be Something, let it be curable/manageable.

Anyway, all finger crossings appreciated.

Fingers and toes crossed. I'll even make the cat cross his paws (he's a dog-sympathizer).

Oops, I missed this one. Thinking good dog thoughts. This happened once to Meg (and there was this EXPENSIVE sonagram involved) but a re-check showed levels down to normal. The vet said it's possible she ate a cricket that a neighbor had "Sprayed".

I hope he had a similar experience -- Meg lived over 11 years after that incident.

This elevation isn't due to anything dietary, according to the vet. Could have elevated due to muscle damage--Mickey and King play very rough--which is what I'm hoping. I haven't noticed any change in behavior or appetite or anything else, so if there is something wrong, I hope we catch it early.

So, how's the Mickster? Or is it too soon for the results?

...sigh. And I see by my handy-dandy desk calendar that today is Friday, not Saturday. I plead con-lag, and continue to cross fingers.

I wish it was out of the way. It took a week for the initial results to come in. I'm not sure if I want these new ones quickly or not.

In any case, I am reconsidering my answer to [livejournal.com profile] alfreda89, and am wondering whether the lawn care products I use might have affected Mickey. I try to schedule applications so the guys aren't exposed, and I don't use the stuff all that often, but stuff happens. I'm going to stop using them in any case and switch to organic products. I don't want to have to worry about it anymore.

Mickey seems fine. He's eating as always, drinking as always, playing and pooping and resting as always. He is more sensitive than King, however--when I screwed up their food a few months ago (all the stores were out of their usual, so I bought a different variety of the same brand), King weathered it pretty well, but Mickey suffered GI upset for several days.

I just want him to be OK.
