Good thoughts

ksmithI’m at the emergency vet clinic. King is scheduled for surgery in the next couple of hours.
He was fine this morning, started slowing down around lunch, and took a turn for the worse around 6pm.
He’s bleeding in his belly. It could be his spleen. It could be rupture of a benign hematoma, but it could also be cancer. We won’t know until we know. He’s stable now. Spaced on pain meds. I’m here in the lobby with Gaby. I’ll probably stay until they’ve gone in and can see what we’re dealing with. We’ll go from there.
