So now...

...in preparation for the arrival of the new treadmill, I've rearranged the living room furniture. I don't think I need an intervention. Not yet, anyway.

Nothing's in its final resting place because I need to move the couch so they can set the treadmill in the place it needs to go. But I've still pulled it away from the wall and set it at an angle. Pushed the end tables behind it to form a long, low table, and set the lamps on them. Experimenting.

I need to get rid of a couple of pieces that are in there now. I want to replace the tall, narrow cabinet with a lowboy/sideboard, and the cabinet full of Lenox figurines--yes, I used to collect them, sue me--needs to go, both the cabinet and the figurines. I would like to replace the standard couch with an L-shaped sectional equipped with lounge chairs at both ends, thus eliminating the need for separate chairs, but I won't be able to do that for a while. I don't believe dog-resistant upholstery comes cheap. Neither do L-shaped sectionals with lounge chairs at both ends.

Today was a wonder. At noon, Kuro's thermometer read 78F, and even during the late afternoon temp jump it only registered 80F. It's still humid, but the cooler temps make it bearable. Not sure how long we get to keep this gift, but I intend to enjoy it while I can. Yes, I am sitting outside now, thank you for asking. Waiting for dusk, and the arrival of Errol. And Errol. And possibly Errol.
