Stressful. Glad it's wrapping up. King spent the day in doggy day care, and thanked everybody by chewing off his fresh bandages, necessitating yet another rebandage. This surprised me. Last night a spritz of the Fooey was sufficient to keep him from chewing. I was even able to leave off the Collar of Remorse. He was wearing the Collar at the vet's. Apparently he can reach around it.

Both King and Gaby are all messed up by this. Gaby was off her feed and didn't eat much until King came home. I am hoping that the sutures can be removed on Monday, after which things can return to what passes for normal around here.

We've had lovely weather the last couple of days. Highs in the 60s. People in shorts and shirt sleeves. Shrubs and trees budding and daffs poking up out of the ground.

Tonight, the roof caves in. Temps are dropping as I type. Tomorrow they will fall to the 30s, and wet snow will fall. No idea how much, but it's going to make for a very crappy weekend. I took half a day's vacation today so that I could get my grocery shopping done and clean up a winter's worth of dog doo off the backyard lawn. I didn't get it all, but it's less like a minefield than it was.

The warmth was lovely while it lasted. I have never wanted to see Spring so much in my life.
