It started raining lightly yesterday afternoon, a half-hour or so after I called it quits with the outside work. Rain continued off and on through the night, and will continue through the day. Could get heavier. Could have thunder, even. It's cooler, too. Mid-50s, which feels downright chilly after a day in the 70s.

Unfortunately, I still need to get out to the garage to tape up the raised bed kit for tomorrow's pick-up. I will also need to tape a note to the garage door reminding me to put the thing outside for the FedEx driver, or sure as hell I will forget. Monday mornings tend to be a muddled rush.

I also need to move a few more seedlings into 3" peat pots. The Black Crim tomatoes are sprouting great guns, and the curly parsley is picking up steam. The chives have finally shown a few sprouts, as has the cilantro. And another basil sprout, for a total of two. I cleaned out and prepped the deck planter for herb growing, but I am reluctant to put anything out just yet as we have a few more nights in the 30s coming up. Then another warm-up, with 80+ possible by the weekend! Seems impossible to imagine now. I'm so hungry for warmth and sunshine, it's pathetic.

Dinner will be tilapia with veggies. Not sure how I will cook it yet, except I want a lot of bright colors to counteract the dull day. TV's on, with the sound off. Dogs are dozing. Need to write...

It takes me longer to adjust existing sentences than it does to create them from whole cloth. Scenes that seemed to work so well fall apart upon closer inspection. Mood and tone and emotion don't fit together as well as they should. Beloved phrases become surprisingly easy to scrap.
