Saturday morning, with dogs
Apr. 18th, 2009 11:02 amYesterday was gorgeous, 60s and sunny. Today is even better, still sunny, with temp edging toward 70F. I'm wearing a heavy sweatshirt, and may need to switch to something lighter.
Yesterday, I only managed a couple of hours outside. Broke down King's kennel--his old doghouse is out by the curb, and the kennel sections are leaning against the fence. I won't bother reassembling until I have the new raised bed kit put together where I want it. Maybe next weekend or the weekend after, assuming decent weather.
The plan for today was raking and branch gathering in the front yard. I started out cleaning up dog stuff in the back yard--hey, found another irrecoverable sock--and wound up cleaning up and weeding around the birdbath. Raking, raking, raking, two yardbags worth of leaves and branches. Took down the short fence that I had put up to keep King away from the remains of the mulch. It had fallen down over the winter and in any case *fingers crossed* he doesn't appear interested anymore.
Taking a break. Then it will be back out to clean up the front. It's supposed to rain tonight, then off and on through Monday, darn it. It was finally dry enough that I didn't need to worry about muddy feet when the dogs came inside.
