I only have 4 email addresses. 5, if you count the one from work.

So there.

Figuring out why I really need 7 e-mail addresses.

Vacation!

I'm on vacation!

As you remember, Bob, Kris decided to chew up all her vacation earlier in the year by taking a leave of absence from the day job. Those two months--half vacation, half unpaid personal leave--went by too quickly, and the purpose of the exercise, namely, to finish ENDGAME...let's just say that didn't work out. And I returned to work in March with the realization that I had pretty much shot my wad for the year. I could bargain days here and there as long as I made up the time, but those "I think I'll take off Friday and make it a three-day writing weekend" were but a memory.

Now we teeter on the brink of a new year, and I have vacation time again. We will hold those days close like a miser their gold, oh yes we will. I am taking off all next week. After that, I may use an odd Friday or Monday until the book is out the door, but after that, I will take care. There's Wiscon in May. Pretty much open after that. I'd like to have a week or two around the holidays, even though I will admit that you get a lot done when there's no one else in the office.

I have vacation again. Wow.
