It snowed today. An inch or so of fluff, but it's the principle of the thing.
I like what I've written so far today. I like finishing chapters. Now, on to the next one.
I've updated the blog again, this time with more timewasting links and tweaks to headings and such.
Oh, and a week or so ago we got the hair cut. It's short, and I like it lots.

Favorite line of the day
Feb. 8th, 2006 10:04 pmI have to be careful what I post from here on out, because spoilers abound. Frex, the chapter I finished earlier today. I loves it, yes I does, but can't really post anything...
So, a line from the following chapter. Niall Pierce is talking to Torin Clase, the young journo-in-the-making who just stuck his foot in it up to his ribcage:
"Someday, boyo, you're going to learn the difference between being intelligent and being wise, and in between now and then I predict that you will get the shit kicked out of you at least once."

An interesting post by an agent tailor-made to burst my little soap bubble dreams.
I dream of the quit-the-day-job deal. I am also a tad security-conscious. I once took one of those on-the-job personality tests--the results were a tie between "entrepreneur" and "security", which is about as conflicted a result as you can get.
To be a full-time writer. The books need to keep selling, and you need to keep writing them. For 20, 30, 40 years or more.
