Mundanities
Sep. 8th, 2005 09:04 pmLooking over the satellite TV/DSL/phone services to see where I can cut back. I consolidated internet and phones with one company when I upgraded to DSL, and that was a big mistake. Not crazy about the service--since I have a DSL account, I get switched to DSL tech service any time I phone customer service, EVEN IF THE NUMBER I'M CALLING IS A LOCAL OR LONG DISTANCE SERVICE NUMBER. Then the DSL support person tells me I must have dialed the wrong number, and transfers me.
*grrr*
My DSL service kicks off when it rains, too. It doesn't even have to be raining on me, but just in my general area. Like the next state, which granted is only about 8 miles away, but still.
I think I may give Vonage a try on the office phone, since that's where the DSL is.
I have a nasty feeling that once all the hidden fees are totaled, I may not save as much as I hoped I would. But I have to try because the amount of money I pay a month for stuff that essentially just sits there is galling.
In other news--it's September in the Midwest, and my allergies have gone insane. I'm just saying.
