Lunch is ongoing. Poached fish and two veg, but I've tempered the nutritional aspects a bit by adding a dollp of tartar sauce to the fish and sneaking in a spoon of pasta salad with dressing. Too much healthy too quickly upsets the humours. Mine, in any case.
Not much to report. Weather's been lovely for everything except my allergies--highs in the 70s, with low humidity. Warming up somewhat today to the 80s, but that's still better than the 90s, which I hope we've seen the back of for a while. Took the lawn mower into the shop for a new blade and such. The fun never stops.
September starts next week. Not Ready.
Had one of those early morning idea downloads a few days ago that enabled me to work out new opening chapters for J5. Jani knows what she's lacking, and she's counting on someone else to fill in that gap. By book's end, she needs to be able to work things out on her own. She does, although it's a solution she's not altogther comfortable with. The problem is, given her situation and temperment, I don't see this book having a classically "happy" ending. There will be an ending of sorts. An understanding. Tolerance and accommodation. But no "golly, I am soo happy to be here that I can't possibly imagine any other life for myself!" And this bothers me, because I think Jani deserves better.
