So I'm looking up Celtic names, and things seem pretty run-of-the-mill until I check out the Ks and see "Kiana — from Quiana; "soft, synthetic material".

How do you pronounce "sgàil"? I've found the meaning, but not the pronunciation.

On that note, which aspect of the word "shadow" connotes protection--is it sgàil or sgàth, and if it is the latter, how do you pronounce it?

Of a Sunday

Nice ride this morning, a shade over 11 miles. Went to the stretch of road, did 6-7 circuits, explored some nearby bike trails, then to home before the heat set in.
