Sunday night crossover

I am sure that somewhere out in the netverse, someone has posted a Jane Austen/Tolkien crossover. Well, this is mine. Bits and pieces came to me whilst I brushed my teeth, they did they did, which should give you some indication of my Sunday night frame of mind. It's fragments at best, but I think there's some potential here.
