Ringtones

A simple chirp or buzz or ring. No song snippets. No earworms that infiltrate your brain and replay over and over and over even as you rake your ears with your nails and howl MAKE IT STOP!

*brrrinng*

It has a ring to it, doncha think?

I had a simple ring for the longest time, but the problem was that I could never tell if I was hearing my phone or someone else's.

Now it plays "In the Hall of the Mountain King," and I never mistake someone else's phone for mine.

The problem is, it's the person in the cube next to mine, and they receive a number of calls during the day.

Around here, so many folks use ringtones that a simple ring would stand out.

Ugh. Isn't there a no cellphones at work rule there?

No, they're standard. Managers wear them on their person. It's a production-support environment, so some folks do need to be available at all times.

Ahh. :/

Vibrate mode?

Sabotage? *g*

Heh. I have my phone set on Vibrate.

I'm not usually this grumped about ringtones, but some of them are so blasted annoying.
