We’re under a Winter Weather Advisory. Temps were in the 50s yesterday, and the 40s today. Tomorrow, the bottom drops out and brings some snow with it. 4-8″ possible, with temps in the 20s and lotsa wind.

I still haven’t prepped the new snowblower, so today I filled the gas can and bought oil. If we wind up with less than 6 inches, I’ll stick with shoveling, but if we wind up with drifts I’ll fire up the thing.

I’m keeping an eye on the forecasts for the middle of next week. It would just be my luck that NW Indiana and southern Michigan gets pounded on the day I need to drive to Troy. I’ve built in a day’s buffer at both ends, and I know that there’s nothing I can do about the weather and it doesn’t do any good to worry about it. But dammit, Winter waited this long to show up. Why couldn’t it have waited for another two weeks?

Your tomorrow weather has been here all day. The wind's just crazy, and the temps have plummeted, though we've only had a dusting of snow so far. It was gorgeous yesterday, almost 60 I think, but we're getting down to like 15 degrees tonight. All this nice weather (plus being gone 18 days over the holidays) lulled me into a false sense of security. I guess tomorrow IS the day I finally get the plastic over the old windows. Ugh. I hate winter. You're welcome to this Ick.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is the fact that the ground will freeze and the snow will cover up the mud. No more muddy paws, at least for a little while. My floors are a mess.

Ah yes, I remember those days decades ago living on the farm, being so glad when it finally froze so the dogs AND cats wouldn't track mud in the house before we could catch them with towels...

And, btw, I didn't mean to sound snarky about "welcome to it" - tho' it kind of reads that way, now that I look at it.

Asking the same question down here -- 20s tonight, not pleasant tomorrow. Be safe up there --

Different place on the scale, same thing. 73 today, new front hit with blustery winds pulling in the cold, expect highs low 40s tomorrow, mid-20s tomorrow night. No snow, though. No precip at all.
