Re: the Chicago Trib article: HELL yeah!!! Why ARE the publishers being such laydowns for the electronic book fad? This is one of those ideas that make me wonder what's wrong with MY head, that I didn't think of this before this article.

Currently, e-books are about 20% of the market, IIRC. I know that proportion is going to grow, and probably faster than anyone expects.

But there are advantages and benefits to paper--the e-vendor can't wipe out your book, paper doesn't need batteries or charging. A good cover seems more special in paper format.
