Just back from the vet's. Despite efforts to make the bandages taste as bad
as possible, King kept licking them to the point that he gave himself a case
of moisture dermatitis on the skin beneath. Luckily, the irritation isn't
around the stitches, which are pretty well healed. So, no more bandage. I
have a steroid/antibiotic spray for the dermatitis. I just need to keep him
from licking the sore spot. Hoping that with the bandage gone, the area will
dry out and stop itching.
Monday, the sutures come out. Thanks be.
The weather is demoralizing. An inch, inch and a half of very wet snow. At
least the roads were warm enough that the stuff melted as it hit.
Gaby is thrilled with the snow, of course. She dashed around like a mad thing in between bouts of snow eating and wow-snow-let-me-push-my-nose-through-it-and-flip-it-up-in-the-air.
They've both eaten breakfast, and are now sleeping the sleep of the utterly innocent.
