White type on a black background may look rilly rilly spiff, but as the format for a webpage or blog that is intended to be read, it sucks dragon dicks.

I'm just saying.

Any light-hued type is included since just about any color looks almost-white when compared to black. Except red--any person who designs a website consisting of red type on a black background should be sentenced to watch badly-dubbed Spanish vampire movies until they learn their lesson.

Especially if it is set up so you can't highlight and read it that way.

Someone on SFFNet provided me the link to something called Black on White, which reverses white-text-on-black to the more readable reverse. I have it on the iBook, and am trying to scavenge the post with the link so I can use it on the iMac. No, I don't have the systems networked yet.

And I have to go back to work tomorrow, which hasn't done much to lighten the mood. Add to that the rainy cold gloom that was today, and you have the makings of an irritating Sunday.

Work. Ugh. At least I will have a long weekend in a couple weeks (if the weather is good). Mostly, if a page is in an unreadable color combination, I simply skip it and click onto something else.

I think it was nice out today (not warm, but nice), however, I failed to get out the door...got close, put the wallet and keys in my pockets before it occurred to me to add rum to my oatmeal.

'Sposed to rain Monday into Tuesday...OK with me if it dries off for the weekend...hoping to get out for a day trip.

But. Work. Bleah.

You are soooo right!

People, please sacrifice "cool" for legibility!
Thanks, The Reader.
