Aug. 10th, 2009 10:54 pmI have a hardwire connection. Wireless still isn't working. The MacBook wireless symbol in the menu bar is dark--it picks up the signal. I can see what other networks are out there. When the cable is connected to the base station, my MacBook sees the Airport connection. But I can't go out to the internet.
Either a soft or a hard reset of the base station is in order, I guess. I'm going to get some help for that one, and yes, I know the instructions are available on the Apple site. But there are some things I refuse to do without someone talking me through, and sending my base station back to its original "Bicycle Built for Two" mindset is one of those things.
It is amazing how dependent I have become on being able to surf the 'net from anywhere in the house. I feel like a Neanderthal.
