Jewelry committed
May. 22nd, 2009 12:59 pmAnd the dealers room wasn't even open yet.
I have the sort of watch that not all jewelers will touch. It was not macrochaotically expensive, but it's delicate, or something. Even an authorized dealer may not change the battery for whatever reason. So, I haven't worn it since the battery died a few months ago. Brought it with me to Madison on the off chance that a place on State Street could deal with the challenge.
Yup. Found a place. And as the very nice owner was changing the battery, I found a gorgeous pair of opal earrings. On sale, yes, that's the ticket. On Sale.
They are now mine.

Also committed new bedding at the Lands End outlet. Someone else's monogram on the pillowcases, but it was the comforter I coveted, melon/cranberry/sage crewel-type flowers on a field of cream.
I figured I would allow myself one piece of jewelry. The thing is, I learned this morning that Laurie Edison is in the dealers room. I may need to stay out of the dealers room.
