Spring afternoon

ksmithSunny day. It started cool, but temps eventually edged into the 50s.
Spent the morning doing paperwork. Then came errands, a haircut and a much needed massage. When I got home, I assembled a compost barrel--it's mounted on a rack so that it can be turned--then cleaned out some old hanging baskets and added the dried out begonias to the barrel, along with the remains of last fall's pumpkin and mums from the planter. Added water. I still need to add a lot more stuff, but according to the instructions, I can have usable compost in weeks.
Still trying to figure out the best place for the veggie garden. Today I bought kohlrabi, zucchini, and yellow squash seeds. More seeds to start tomorrow.
I wish Saturday afternoons lasted for months.
