It's Monday
Feb. 9th, 2009 05:41 pmKing torqued his left front foot/leg at some point during the weekend. The backyard is coated in spots with slushy snow and ice patches, and I am guessing he sprained it running. He limps a lot when he first gets up. It gets a little better as he walks on it, but it's not great. It wasn't so bad until this morning, when he bolted after a squirrel. This no doubt aggravated matters.
So I called the vets' office to see if aspirin was off limits given his dodgy stomach, only to learn that the nice vet who worried after him so is no longer there. Saturday was her last day--she moved to a far away 'burb, and so needed to leave this practice. Tech and I talked a bit, and decided the better course of action would be to bring King in, just in case. So he will get to meet New Vet.
So much for working out tonight, which is kind of OK given that my stomach is a little dodgy as well.
Fingers crossed that this King Thing is nothing serious. I hate to sound selfish, but Serious would be the absolute last thing in the world that I need right now. Not that the world ever listened, but still. Hoping.
Oh goody--I get to try to persuade King to get into Kuro's backseat. I do have a ramp, but still. Should be interesting.
Crap.
