Do you get your schedule ahead of time, like Worldcon? Or do you find out what you're doing when you check in?

If you're on programming they send you a schedule ahead of time, which allows you to ensure that they haven't scheduled you for a panel that occurs before you arrive, or on a topic that you absolutely loathe.

Then, if they hold true to form, they will post the draft program on their website a few days prior to the convention, so you can get a sense of who's doing what/when prior to arrival.

Rumor has it that program participants should be hearing from programming shortly.

Is this your first WFC?

My second, but my first on programming.

My first one was 1996--Schaumburg. Shared a room with [livejournal.com profile] alfreda89 and Ru Emerson. We shocked a friend of [livejournal.com profile] alfreda89 when he saw how much stuff we brought--I brought coffee and two kinds of brownies and, iirc, cookies. Because, you know, you could starve in the wilds of Schaumburg. I mean, Woodfield Mall is all the way across the *street*.

It's a busy street.

Someone over on SFFNet (I'm blanking on exactly who it was) just reported that they'd gotten their schedule. So you should be hearing from them soon.
