Months ago, someone somewhere posted that if you want to get something done that you don't want to do, make a list and lead off with something you really don't want to do. In self-defense, you'll take care of everything else on the list.

Well, I brought work home this weekend, and I really, REALLY don't want to do it. It has to get done, and I will need to get started on it sometime today.

But in the meantime, I have cleaned my desk and filed what needed filing. Now I think I'll fix the broken gargoyle sculpture that's been sitting in pieces for the last few months. After that, I may back up the book and get some writing done.

Yesterday, I mowed the grass and raked part of the yard.

I really don't want to work on the damned report...

Dunno if I've ever created a list, but yeah, avoiding the thing I don't want to do is a great way to get everything else done.

Q101 recently changed their format to 'alternative shuffle'. I love it--I've heard songs I haven't heard in years (like the one I listed), but I'm still hearing new stuff as well. I hope they don't change anytime soon. Another alternative station passed through a hard rock stage, and is now an oldies (as in 60s) station.
