Walking wounded

Or in this case, bouncing around the living room like a piece of popcorn wounded.
Gaby has a nasty little wound just below her left eye. The only thing I can figure is that she and King were playing tug o' war, and King swatted her face with his paw. He used to do that with Mickey as well--if you were within a leg's distance, feet were allowed. I started hiding the tug toys after I saw him drag his paw down Mickey's face within an inch of his eye.
I cleaned the wound, which is only about half the size of my pinky nail but is still alarming because it's *red*. Lost a teeny patch of skin there, we did. Gaby's eye seems fine. No tearing, and she's not pawing at it or anything. And as I said before, popcorn.
Sunday evening already. Well, late afternoon, but dusky so it feels later. Garbage is out on the curb. Dinner--year-old back of the freezer chicken stew with Kashi whole grain pilaf and carrots--has been et. I really wish tomorrow wasn't Monday already.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is on tonight. I may miss it, but one assumes it will be repeated at least once before 25 December.
