Stop and Shop supermarkets have inflated giant plastic balls with clear front hemisphere, probably seven or eight feet in diameter, with blower attachment and internal lighting, of a plastic snowman and fake evergreen trees and white picture of show background, with plastic white stuff imitating snow coming down inside, driven by the blower motor.
Oh, I forgot to add that they are display models, one can buy one for a mere $149.99 or so.
I feel assured that there will be colonies of them in yards in some number of weeks (most of them are unlikely to be grouped in the same yards, though one never knows. There are some afficionadoes of kitsch around, who are wont to had their kitschy display of the season up. One such family I thought had moved away because there was a stretch of months when there was no kitschy stuff in the yard, and then one day there was a large seasonal kitschy display popped up there again
