Topped out
Apr. 12th, 2004 08:18 pmHit my 15-picture max with some Aeryn Sun images. My, my--how quickly one fills up one's allotted space.
Worked outside while the pups had their playtime. Raked up two yardbags full of leaves/branches/dried grass. Dumped the first batch of whateverwhatever into the doggie septic tank that I sank on Saturday. Tomorrow I will add enzyme and water and See What Happens.
A junk guy came through the neighborhood today and to our surprise and delight took a rusty chair and the old water heater. Mom gave him an old TV as well. Tomorrow we'll drag some old tables up from the basement and see if he will take those as well. When the weather gets better, I will go out to the garage and try to unload the two old refrigerators and the decrepit organ. If I can get rid of that stuff, I will have some room to maneuver. So many tools to organize. So much junk to dump. The goal is to be able to park the vehicles inside by the end of summer, which would be a feat of Biblical proportions considering that we have never been able to garage even one vehicle in the 16+ years we've lived here.

Date: 2004-04-12 07:29 pm (UTC)If you body is up to it, rent a 10-20 cu yd debris box, preferably one with the swing open end doors and see if you can recruit friends to help you fill it. I participated in a houseclearing like this once...Myfanwy sorted (brutally) and we hauled. Went amazingly quickly. We saved the frangibles for after we started opening beers.
If you can get the junk guy to take away some of the big heavy stuff, that makes the job incredibly easier.

Date: 2004-04-12 11:14 pm (UTC)Wish we could just put all the damn data on an isolinear optical chip, tuck the kitties under our arms and close the door behind us. But no, the Stuff needs a month of triage, somewhere in among the writing, Allie's new business launch, life, and general exhaustion.
So here's three cheers for big green trash bags!
