ksmithEvents of the last few days:
Had new permanent retainer put in. We've gone from a largish piece of silver metal to a thin gold wire. Orthodontist's office was of the modern, "we're doing quite well, thank you" variety. Modern layout, HDTV in a multichair space where orthodontist can walk from chair to chair as techs do prep work. daveamongus. They fitted me in a head restraint, then the scanner rotated around me and took a panoramic shot of my teeth. It was all done in about 10-15 seconds. Beats clamping down on hard plastic cards.
After a month on gall bladder meds, Mickey had his repeat bloodwork. Liver enzyme is just about back to normal--now we need to decide what to do next. Vet wants to see whether a low-fat, lower protein diet will eliminate the need for meds, so after I get back from Wiscon, I will commence diet-switching.
My allergies are really bad this Spring.
Need to start pulling things together for Wiscon--leaving for Madison on Thursday, back on Tuesday. Right now, I'm going through the "why can't I just stay home? I'd get so much done if I could just stay home," feeling that I get before every trip. I am not one of the world's great travelers, even when I'm only driving a few hours. And I really, really hate to pack.
