Did not want to get out of bed this morning. Finally did. After breakfast and such came a trip to the hardware store, where I wound up buying petunias for the round stone planter in the front yard. Got home, then off to local salon for facial/massage. Oddly enough, I really didn't want to go--I had also bought topsoil and wanted to get to work on the planter--but I went anyway, and it was good. The place was packed, as it's Prom Night at the local high school. The facialist said that all the girls get their hair done the same way--waves or curls, either their real hair or extensions. Nothing original. No platinum buzz cuts.
Masseuse said my shoulders are getting better. The number of knots is going down. I do notice the difference.
Home. Grocery shopping. Home again. Late lunch. Then outside to dig up the astilbes that had been residing in the planter, and move them to a shady place under some trees. I then planted the petunias, which are purple/white/pink/coral. They look very nice.
The sand cherries and Louisa crabapple are in full bloom, and the prairie fire crabapple is close behind. I saw a Japanese maple and a hardy red rhododendron at the hardware store garden shop, and coveted both for the yet-to-be-tilled weedy corner. Come on, tax refund!
I love Spring.
