Happy Easter to all who celebrate.

Sunny today, but cold. The daffodils are starting to open--I hope they muddle through.

Looking forward to dinner--strip steak with mushrooms and onions, fried potatoes, salad, and steamed broccoli. For dessert, something new: apple pie baked in a paper bag, a speciality of a Long Grove store. Apparently the bag helps keep the crust crisp.

Always open to new dessert sensations.

Heading down south with the puppy today. She's bathed, flea treated, dressed in her new collar and harness and her first "made for dog" leather brimmed baseball cap. The pup is ready for her visit to the grandparents, and can't wait for her share of the traditional ham.

Mickey is currently lobbying for early dinner, grunting and groaning and acting pathetic. It's a hard life for a hungry puppy, who heaven knows hasn't been fed in months.

Easter Brunch:
Mimosas, then, um, Sparkling Wine alone. Brie on Sourdough. NE Clam Chowder cooked\\\\\\heated over the campfire. Chocolate.
