I tried to find a place to put The Patrician, and couldn't. I mean, I wouldn't want him running my country, really. Blue Man Group would be toast.

Nanny Ogg and Sam Vimes also didn't quite make the cut. We need more categories.

The Patrician is from the Guards books, mostly. He's Sam Vimes' best foil.

The title did sound vaguely familiar -- he's the strange guy with the wife.

I haven't read all the books, just the more recent and a couple of the earlier. I prefer the ones in the past five years, personally. The others overload my silliness-meter.
