I forgot to post this to my journal. Alex is one of my heros. I first read about him in When Elephants Weep (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0385314280/qid=1122013203/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/102-1476184-4999346) and I've been a fan of his ever since.
What's bugging me a little is that *everyone* seems to have known about Alex for years and I've only just heard of him now. I read NEW SCIENTIST and DISCOVER--you'd think I'd have seen something.
