In some alternate universe...
Jul. 16th, 2006 07:33 pmDug around a bit, and am compelled to admit to self that I imagined an album that had never existed. Yes, The Clash recorded Sandinista!, but the sleeve looks completely different than I remembered it when I thought it had been recorded by The Police.
It doesn't negate this short story I'm thinking of. There's just this little internal connection that no longer exists that I regret losing.
The good news is that the eBay search I made of 1980ish Clash LP covers went off the rails in the direction of the Hoodoo Gurus' Stoneage Romeos, which is one of the Best! Albums! Ever! Purchased a remastered edition complete with a poster and 2 bonus tracks. The fact that it has been released on the Acadia label is just a funny bit of happenstance.
