ksmithThanks to the folks who provided food/diet feedback. It was interesting.
Breakfast: a small piece of cherry coffee cake from a local Real Good Store (because some things I am not giving up, dammit), whole grain cereal w/ yogurt and a hard-boiled egg. Lunch--spinach salad with chickpeas and a s/b chicken breast. Dinner last night was a breaded s/b chicken (ETA: chicken *breast*, not the whole chicken) with 2 veg, and leftover b-day cake because some things I'm notgivingupseeabove.
Lots to do this weekend. Need to write a bio for the Misspelled antho. You'd think I'd have plenty of bios ready to cut/paste by now, but time marches on and every need is different--different audience, different focus. The one I'm writing now contains flecks of whimsy, which can be dangerous because that bio will remain in black and white until the last book goes to that big shredder in the sky and a little whimsy goes a long, long way. I may halve the whimsy.
Interview questions to answer for an SF blog. First time I'm doing this--I'm so behind the curve. Interesting questions, requiring some thought. Hope to get them done this weekend.
Will be writing the first Big Event in J5, which will require careful cutting/pasting from the first draft followed by the interweaving of the three POVs into progressively smaller scenes until the BAM! (ETA: if interested, see Chs 29-31 in CI for similar timing). This is the first book where I've been able to reuse entire chapters from the initial draft. Of course, the first draft took for-flippin'-ever to write...
In other news, I really like Club 8's Strangely Beautiful CD. Even so, there are times--maybe because it's Friday and I want to go home--when breathy female vocals get under my skin. It's like whispering. Honestly, if you want to drive me to behave in profoundly antisocial ways, whisper for extended periods within my earshot. I will shout in libraries about doing awful things to the whisperer(s) with a fork.
Ok, maybe not that bad. But I will Stare With Intent.
