Saturday morning
May. 20th, 2006 01:06 pmUp early. Coffee, yogurt, banana, granola (sooo treehuggy). Then off to the Big Box hardware store with the garden center to look for organic lawn care for the back yard (even more tree-huggy).
I drove Harrison the Ford pick-up in case I bought something Big (tree dies).
No organic stuff to be had--looks like I'll have to mailorder it. Shipping charges for 40-lb bags--yea.
So, I had to content myself with a couple of flower pots, a small cast metal birdbath for the front yard, and various odds and ends--metal hooks for hanging pots, snips, spikes for gardening cloth.
Back home. Grocery shopping. Hedge trimming, followed by lunch. Now back to more hedge trimming and another assorted yard work, because 60s and sunny makes it too beautiful a day to stay inside.
And finally, the fave bumper sticker of the week: "Silly cowboy--trucks are for girls"
