Spent late morning-early afternoon resetting daffodil bulbs. It was, admittedly, waaaaaay overdue, since I think at least a decade has passed since I first planted them. They bloomed every Spring, no worries. Then two years ago, all that came up was greenery. Same thing this year. I knew what that meant.

So we trundled out the lawn cart with the pitchfork, shovel, rake and bucket and started digging. I don't think I had planted any more than 30-40 bulbs initially, but I must have dug up 3x that many, huge clusters held together by tangled roots. I teased them apart and tossed them in the bucket, which holds about 1 1/2 gallons and was about 2/3 full by the time I finished the digging-up portion. Some of the bulbs are *tiny*, and may not be viable. I replanted the largest, adding a few mediums and smalls just to see what comes up. The area in question only measured about 30 square feet, but my back hurts and my thighs are stiff and I feel like I hiked for miles.

But it was a chore that needed doing, and now it's done. Next weekend, assuming the weather cooperates, we take care of the leaves.

The pups ran themselves ragged while I worked, running from one side of the yard to the other every time I walked to the garage for another tool. After I brought them inside,King actually fell alsleep beside me on the living room rug. I wanted to join him, but I held off until he and Mickey were fed. Took a short nap on the couch. Put out the garbage. I need to fit some guitar practice in here somewhere--I've neglected it the last two weeks--but I'm wiped.

I should at least strum a few chords...
