Also got three loads of laundry done. Wanted to straighten my bedroom, but I'm not sure that's going to get done.

Now to see to dinner. Found this recipe for lamb chops with goat cheese salsa. I don't have fresh tomatoes, but may substitute sun-dried and see what happens.

Ooo, that sounds wonderful!

I cooked up a bunch of sirloin sandwich steaks last night. Ate two of them on the last hamburger bun last night, and put the other two in the fridge for later. Tonight's dinner will be steak salad, though I haven't decided what else to mix in with the greens. Maybe fresh corn kernels, as I still have a couple of ears left that really need to be eaten Soon, or maybe some cold asparagus.

Yum. I'd go with asparagus, personally. It tastes good warm or cold, especially with a vinaigrette.

Isn't it funny how cleaning makes you feel that way? I feel the same way after vacuuming all the cat hair and cleaning all the litter boxes. LOL

Asparagus is high on my list of perfect foods. :)

Can you substitute lemon juice or grapefruit juice for the acid? Not quite the same bite, but it's still good.

I've started experimenting with that, yes. The other difficulty is that the meds I take to control the chronic hives cannot be taken with citrus, so I try to take my doses two or three hours before or after meals. Breakfast is the big bugaboo, given my passion for orange juice, but it can also be a problem if I have a late supper.

I plan to try making my own mayo one of these days. Most recipes call for vinegar, but since I've found one that uses lemon juice instead.
