Rain last week. Rain coming the middle of this week. Temps above freezing in between, which equals thawing ground which means mud. I laundered the dog towels a couple of days ago, and they're already a mess. I'm trying to ignore the state of the kitchen floor.

I know I should just let it dry, then vacuum. Easier than trying to wipe up the wet smears.

King manages to get it on the walls.

Venting doesn't solve anything, but I have to do it anyway.

Next house? Mudroom. With a floor drain. So help me.

I used the "venting doesn't solve anything. . ." line as a post title (with attribution) because it just fit. Thanks.

Mudroom/greenhouse, with a hose as well as a drain in the floor.

(Come on, spring!)

I feel your pain. One 70-pound dog with big webbed feet is plenty to make us feel like we're living in a mud slick. Thank goodness we got the washable paint!

Really. The rain starts tonight. Dog towels are in the dryer. Dogs are outside, taking their post-prandial constitutional, which means Hey! More Mud!. I vacuumed the floor. I think I probably shouldn't have bothered, but I couldn't look at it anymore.
