It's the Number One seed vs the Number Two seed for the Western Conference title. Chicago pwned the Sharks during the regular season. Then again, so did Detroit, and the Sharks took them down in five. One thing's for sure: no matter who wins, it's gonna be one hell of a series.
Who know who I'm watching? The Canadiens. #8 in the East. They knocked off the Caps. If they knock off the Pens, there will be much weeping by TV commentators. But then what? Do the Canadiens peter out and lose in the Eastern Finals, or are they one of those teams of destiny?
But I'm getting ahead of matters. They need to beat the Pens first. Home ice advantage doesn't seem to have meant much this year, from what I've seen.
If the Bruins win, three of the final four teams will be Original Six. Assuming the Canadiens win, and it certainly looks like they will at this point (up 5-2 with 7 or so minutes to go).
