An auction

There is an auction currently taking place over at debsliverlovers to benefit Deb Mensinger and her wife, author Laurie J. Marks. Short version: due to the effects of porphyria, Deb needs a liver transplant, and there are many expenses not covered by insurance. Many more details here.

I wasn't sure what I could add to all the neat things already being offered. The I poked around my bookshelves and found one of my two copies of the Russian edition of Code of Conduct. It might be a cool thing to have, if you're a Jani fan. Anyway, the opening bid is $25. It's a fairly rare item, in good shape but for yellowed pages and a little creasing on the edges of a couple of pages. The paper is very thin.

I especially like that the Russian version appears to have dinosaurs! I thought the English version of CoC was sorely lacking in dinosaur involvement.

It is pretty neat. I don't know if that is an actual Russian variant of "Kristine," or simply the Russian equivalent of the English letters.
