I was surprised at how much I liked him. I think I recall someone comparing him to Tom Baker, and I can see it.

I am going to have to watch Ep1 a few more times to catch all the dialogue. It reminded me of Moonlighting at its prime--if you were distracted for a moment, you missed a great line.

Not *quite* the last one into the boat - I watched it later last night!
I concur although I miss Tenant, and I just though missing the lines was an artifact of the UK-ness of it all.

I'm used to missing lines because I can't understand the actor's accent. In this case, it just seemed to be due to the pacing of the dialogue. Rat-a-tat-tat. Maybe I'll change my mind after watching it again.

I liked Tennant well enough. But my top three Doctors are Eccleston, Baker, and this new guy. Smitty.

Good name, Smitty. Not that I'm biased, mind.
