One thing I didn't see

Was there a mascot for these Games? Some little creature? I don't recall seeing anything in particular.

There were 3 mascots. Miga (a sea bear), Quatchi (a sasquatch) and Sumi (an animal spirit). Sumi is my favourite. :-)

And their mascot, Mukmuk, a rare Whistling Marmont that lives on Vancouver Island. Think upside down pudding with red mittens.

Kids loved them and adults could ignore them. Perfect mascots.
